Viking glass also made paperweights. This owl is of made of two layers of solid glass, with controlled bubbles in the outer crystal (or colorless) layer. Imagine the patience and diligence it took to place these bubbles exactly without creating any large bubbles or bubbles that weren’t of uniform size or position that would spoil the work of art!
